About Luke Smith

Building on 16 years of experience in regenerative design and development, agroecology, food sovereignty, conservation biology, procurement strategy, ethical trade and multi-stakeholder development processes, the primary focus of my work is the creation of agricultural production and trade systems that evolve the way that human beings engage with one another and with the living landscapes that are the foundation of our collective wellbeing. In short, I focus on strategic interventions for whole systems regeneration at the intersection of agriculture, ecology and economy. I work across various geographies particularly in Latin America, South-East Asia and Subsaharan Africa; within multiple industries including food, beverage, fashion and cosmetics; and, with a diversity of stakeholder groups including farmer associations and cooperatives, SME brands, Fortune 500s, investors and non-profits. I enjoy playing a variety of roles including project developer, educator, strategic advisor, executive and board member.
