About Luke Swanger

I am a highly motivated individual, whether excelling in academics or qualifying for the state meet. I believe this tenacity and passion for achieving goals will lead me to accomplish great things at Indiana University, where I will major in accounting. Going back to high school track and field, I demonstrated an intense work ethic through training extensively for 4 years. This work ethic would eventually pay off as I would go on to qualify for the state meet in the 4x800m relay. Through my experience in Junior Achievement in the AP Economics curriculum I demonstrated service to others. This service was demonstrated through my task of teaching kindergarten students four basic economic lessons relating to budgeting money. Currently, I work at Travis Pointe Golf Club, where I have learned the importance of attention to detail. As tasks such as cleaning golf carts, and symmetrically setting up the driving range, are essential to maintaining member satisfaction. In the future, I will join student organizations at Indiana University, where I look forward to expanding my network. I will also pursue summer internships in the field of accounting to gain business experience.
