I specialise in neuromorphic computing and physics, leveraging advanced techniques such as ultra-high vacuum (UHV) systems and computational modelling to address real-world challenges in solid-state devices and biomedical technologies. My work spans several areas, including the development of next-generation materials, such as diamond-based quantum platforms, known as "Diamond Glass," which are designed for high-performance neural interfaces and biosensors. This work combines solid-state physics with scalable fabrication methods. Additionally, I focus on neuromorphic engineering, where I design electrolyte-gated transistors that exhibit synaptic plasticity, which could lead to low-cost disease diagnostics, including the detection of TDP-43 in neurodegenerative conditions. Furthermore, I employ computational-experimental synergy by using first-principles simulations in Python and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) alongside plasma surface modification techniques (such as to optimise material properties and device performance. With a strong foundation in semiconductor devices and thin-film functionalisation, I thrive at the intersection of applied physics, materials science, and biomedical engineering. My research has been published in high-impact journals, and I actively contribute to conferences focused on emerging materials and biosensing technologies.
