About Luke Torres

Work experience (In-N-Out four years) As an associate at In-N-Out Burger I learned how to effectively communicate with members of my team, how to multitask, effective time management, and how to provide exceptional customer service. In-N-Out is known for high quality fast food with a smile and they’ve garnered that reputation by how they train their associates. I was taught that effective communication with all of my team members is the most efficient and productive way of working and depending solely upon one’s self is a losing strategy. During my four years with In-N-Out I’ve found myself in situations where I need to be in three places at once, and through those situations I have developed great time management and a high level of multitasking ability. Within those four years I also had thousands of interactions with customers and from those thousands of customer interactions I’ve never had a single complaint but rather I’ve received multiple customer compliments, In-N-Out taught me how to serve customers in a way that has them leaving and coming back happy.(Total Handyman six years) As an administrator with Total Handyman, which is my families business, I learned how to manage business records, prepare invoices, reconcile bills and credit cards, and properly communicate with clients. My role as an administrator was done sparingly throughout the six years because of school and other work. I would work as an administrator when another member of the business was unable to, so in a sense I was a substitute administrator. Nevertheless, my experience with Total Handyman has produced applicable skills.(Apex Imaging Services <1 year) As a project coordinator with Apex Imaging Services I learned how to organize project information, acquire proper permits for construction, and strategically source materials and services. The scale of work at Apex is much larger than my previous jobs and because of this I have also developed my abilities in programs like Excel, Teams, and Outlook. I use these programs on a daily basis to organize, track, and communicate project progress.
