About Luke Trench

I am a sophomore at Boston College in the Carroll School of Management, majoring in Accounting with an interest in Entrepreneurship and Finance. Although I go to school in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, I live in Connecticut during the summer, allowing me to have various enriching internship experiences, especially in New York. One of my most valuable experiences was my internship at Arch Capital Services LLC. My responsibilities included testing a new internal tax software called Longview. I compared Longview documents with documents from a legacy tax system Arch used called OneStream. In addition to this, I supported the tax team during quarter close by creating and organizing important documents for agencies such as the IRS. I was honored to be trusted with these tasks, and I learned so much from working in this professional environment. Furthermore, the internship program at Arch was enriching, as I attended weekly meetings to hear directly from executives and professionals in the insurance industry. I am continuing to work at Arch part-time during the school year and will resume my full-time tax internship in the summer of 2026. I am a member of the Fulton Leadership Society (FLS) at Boston College. I was selected as 1 of 25 first-year students from 250+ applicants for this four-year leadership development program. In this society, I actively participate in local community service projects, attend speaker events with industry professionals for professional development, and engage in diversity, equity, and inclusion events to broaden my knowledge. As a sophomore, I am now a part of the Community Service Pillar within the organization. I am seeking accounting-focused internship opportunities for the summer of 2027.
