Background
About Luque Callao
When I was a kid, I loved playing with Legos. Building them, disassembling them, and using pieces from different sets to create something totally new. Although some of my creations did not turn out the way I expected, it was something different, something that no one else had. That creativity and just the thought of individualism is what drives me to be the person I am today. I would describe myself as a person who is always looking for something different or finding new ways to do something. I am still at the beginning of my career, but hey, everyone starts somewhere, right? I have been in the foodservice industry for over three years now. I have learned so much, not just from packing orders and cleaning tables, but from interacting with customers and observing how things run in the restaurant. When I first started this job, I was extremely nervous about how I was going to perform, as I never had a job before. However, by my second shift, I was already faster and more efficient than some of my coworkers that have been working there for years. After that, I would strive to learn new things, other positions, and improve productivity and service as a whole. I like to see myself as a caring, creative, and motivated person, I always listen to people's concerns, whether they are venting or pointing out flaws that could be improved, I am always looking for ways to improve myself and help others around me to the best of my ability. A quote I regularly think of is "My whole life has been about changing negatives into positives"- Fran Drescher. I feel like having a mindset like this, changing a bad situation into a good one, is something everyone could use, to feel better about a situation, and especially in the workplace, could totally change the mood.
