About Ly Tran

As a recent graduate from my Master in Chemical and Biological Engineering at University at Buffalo, I am passionate about applying my skills and knowledge in protein engineering and molecular biology. I conducted research on protein design and characterization under the guidance of Dr. Sheldon Park. One of my projects focused on targeting and degrading intracellular protein with the goal of selectively degrading pathological protein. This project sharpened my proficiency in flow cytometry and fluorescent microscopy.I have also gained valuable experience as a Manufacturing Technician at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. At Thermo Fisher, I was responsible for preparing buffers and cell culture media. I maintained quality standards for various products and processes. I worked with a diverse and collaborative team of technicians, scientists, and engineers, and contributed to the improvement and optimization of the manufacturing operations. I learned a lot from this role, and I am eager to apply my skills and insights to new challenges and opportunities. I am looking for a position that will allow me to leverage my expertise in protein engineering and molecular biology. I am keen to contribute and learn from a dynamic team that constantly challenges the conventional boundary of biotechnology, and fosters a culture of perpetual innovation and growth.
