About Lydia Atchley

With a background rooted in financial services and a heart for service, I’ve built my career around helping individuals and families achieve financial stability and long-term success. After nearly a decade in the banking and financial sector—where I specialized in debt management and credit counseling—I transitioned to the nonprofit world to focus on sustainable housing solutions. At Holston Habitat for Humanity, I served as the Homeowner Services and Outreach Manager, guiding future homeowners through the process of homeownership and supporting them with financial literacy and readiness. This role deepened my commitment to community development and housing equity. Currently, I’m proud to be part of the team at Appalachia Service Project (ASP), where I manage grants and ensure compliance to support critical housing repair and outreach initiatives across the Appalachian region. My work bridges detailed administrative oversight with a passion for making a lasting difference in underserved communities, and making homes warmer, safer, and drier. I’m always open to connecting with others passionate about affordable housing, community development, financial empowerment, and nonprofit impact.
