I am a Family Nurse Practitioner with interests in addiction medicine and Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT), transgender and gender diverse healthcare, trauma-informed practice, chronic and co-morbid disease management, and preventative health. I approach my role as a primary care provider with the belief that quality medical care is a collaboration between provider and patient, and that integrative medicine is the key to whole-person wellness. Every patient assessment and plan of care should be centered on the goal to heal, not just treat, and the goal of every plan should be the goals of patient, rather than of my own agenda. I recognize the intricate involvement of mind with body and body with mind in any diagnosis, from diabetes to schizophrenia, and from the perspective of integrative health, I believe the best care undoubtedly addresses aspects of both.I am a Suboxone provider, medically manage opioid and alcohol use disorder and recovery, medically supervise at-home detox protocols, and work with patients using Ketamine treatments for treatment resistant depression, among other mental health concerns. I work in a trauma-informed and gender-affirming practice, provide HRT and primary healthcare to the transgender and gender diverse community, and support patients mentally and physically before and after gender-affirming procedures. I also continue to provide basic medication management and primary care services for mental health and gender diverse clients of the practice.
