About Lydia Moll

I am currently a graduate student at the University of Southern Indiana. My Bachelor's Degree focused on Criminal Justice and Sociology, whereas my Master's Degree will be in Social Work. I hope to get my LCSW and become a Correctional Therapist. I have done plenty of research examining student correctional tours and the impact they have on students when it comes to careers and perceptions of inmates and staff. I have presented this research at several conferences including ACJS, NCSA and ASC. I plan on presenting more research at the IASS conference this year and the WSC conference next year. In the Journal of Criminal Justice Education, I have an article published titled "New Opportunities or Closing Doors? How Correctional Facility Tours Impact Students’ Thoughts about Correctional Careers." I hope to make a career out of giving more assistance to inmates through therapy to get them ready for re-entry into the community. Working at Stepping Stone this past year has also showed me that criminals with substance abuse issues need even more help. I enjoy working with all different populations and can handle diversity well. Learning is my overall passion to continue a life in helping people that many do not want to help. I also enjoy singing in the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus, which I have been a member of for 5 years. Thank you for visiting my profile!
