About Lydia Silbernagel

I am a Central Florida-based information professional with over ten years of non-profit experience. For the last seven years, I have been a part of one of the largest public library systems in the nation (with a service area population of 1.4 million). I am a fierce community advocate who is deeply invested in libraries’ continued ability to break down barriers to access. As a member of the Orange County Library System's management team, I turn relationships into knowledge by connecting community members with the resources they need most.Additionally, I hold a graduate degree in Information Sciences from the University of South Florida. My coursework focused on public information institutions and providing information services to people in carceral facilities. I am a recent graduate of the Sunshine State Library Leadership Institute.
