About Lydia Sizer

I am a recent international relations PhD graduate interested in policy and institutional modernization to help governments and businesses confront the world's most pressing challenges. My doctoral research examined how complex organizations make risky decisions, particularly with personnel deployments. I looked specifically at the U.S. State Department and its staffing decisions at dangerous posts. Through my work as an independent consultant, as a manager at a research consultancy in the UAE, and as a public servant in the State Department, I have dedicated my career to highlighting areas of need and suggesting effective ways governments and businesses can help cultivate peace and prosperity for the benefit of everyone.
