About Lydia Tadesse

Dr. Lydia Tesfaye Tadesse is a young Physician from Ethiopia with a passion for working with children and young adults. She has been an advocate for public health with over eight years of experience. Dr.Tadesse earned her medical degree from Addis Ababa University, School of Medicine, Where she also worked as a lecturer for undergraduate Health Science Students.She has provided her country health services working as a treating physician as well as attaining various managerial roles for close to two years at Jamma Primary hospital, an institution located 500kms away from the capital. She currently oversees the department of Communications and Members Affairs at Ethiopian Medical Association working as the senior officer, where she is involved in multiple activities such as health projects, advancement of Medial Education, as well as Medical Ethics. Dr.Tadesse strives towards improvement of health care delivery systems through various advocacy works. She actively volunteers for a local NGOs such Nutrition 4 Education and Development, Matiyos Wondu cancer Society, the Ethiopian Ministry of Health and ONE Campaign as a ONE Champion. She is passionate about embarking on change in her country's health system and is a leader committed to empowering young adults and women to achieve it.
