About Lydia Weber

I am a highly motivated young professional and graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeking employment within the humanitarian aid sector or public health sphere. Through acquiring my degree I have gained a unique understanding of the complex international issues present in our ever-globalizing world. I am passionate about humanitarian work with a vision that concentrates on issues such as immigration reform and advocacy for refugees, as well as food insecurity and the eradication of poverty on a global scale, with a regional focus on the Near and Middle East. Additionally, the past six years have afforded me the opportunity to travel between Turkey and the United States in order to become more organically immersed in the Turkish culture, develop my language skills and strengthen ties with my Turkish counterparts. I believe both my acquired Turkish language skills and my deep desire to engage with the international humanitarian aid sector will facilitate my success while working in this field.
