About Lyle Dick

I have worked in advanced technical support for over a decade, which has allowed me to develop skills such as troubleshooting, customer service, communication - both verbal and written - tailored to the identified audience. The number one thing my time in tech support has generically taught me is to take ownership of a problem, and see it through until it is resolved to the satisfaction of everyone involved, while keeping my employer's/company's interests in mind at all times. Furthermore I have grown from front-line support into more advanced positions, including developing scripts and SQL queries to make adjustments or perform repairs to databases that are not possible in the GUI of the software, or to export data in configurations not possible with the built-in reporting. Finally between 2015 and 2020 I expanded my role to that of a Supervisor, which has allowed me to develop my abilities to multi-task, keep myself and my direct reports organized and on task, create and see-through plans and projects to increase our productivity and value to the company and our clients, and assist with administrative and managerial duties such as payroll, periodic reviews, and general employee development plans. I stepped away from that position in April 2020 as my technical skills were needed more urgently, but I still retain the experience and knowledge gained during my stint as Supervisor.
