About Lyle Jackson

I have a very diverse background in fashion and costuming. I started my career as a hairdresser and makeup artist training at the Aveda Institute, then Horst Education Center, which led me to a career in costume design and fashion styling. I am mostly self taught, but have studied fashion design and draping at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and interned under Minneapolis couturier Mark Caligiuri. I've designed costumes and hair & makeup for both fashion and theatrical productions for the past 35 years. My most recent job was as Costume Art Director for VStar Entertainment a subsidiary of Cirque du Soliel. My responsibilities there included client interfacing with clients including Nickelodeon, Sesame Workshop and NBC Universal. I art-directed the production of costumes for VStars international Paw Patrol and Trolls Live tours as well as designing costumes for their Hello Kitty and Nick Jr Live tours. I also art-directed the production of mascot costumes for many local and national sports teams and commercial clients A few additional notable accomplishments include being resident costume designer for Ballet of the Dolls, many years of working for Dayton's/Marshall Field's/Macy's designing and producing costumes for fashion events and their annual Flower and Holiday shows. From I was co-owner of Tulle & Dye Inc, we produced costumes for many local and national theaters and dance companies.
