Background
About Lyn Brown
From 1982 I was employed by Liverpool City Council for some 22 years, my first roll in the council was as a centre assistant in their sports and recreation department, from there and still employed by LCC, I worked in their Arts and Heritage department and worked in Liverpool's prestigious St. George's Hall and Liverpool Town Hall as a Hall assistant were I prepared for numerous functions e.g. film shoots, grand dinners, fashion shows, council meetings etc, and met not only royalty but famous celebs as well. In 2007 I started working for Carlisle Security Services, I was employed by Carlisle Security on the Merseyrail Electrics contract for 15 years as a Mobile Response Officer. On a daily basis I patrolled the railway network, assisted passengers in using the ticket vending machines, I also maintained these machines as well, I also responded to incidents involving intoxication/drug use/aggression and sadly attempted suicides in a professional and respectful manner at all times, as customer care is most important when dealing with the public, I can keep my head when everyone around me is losing theirs. In July 2021, I was seconded to Merseyrail for 12 months as a Testing Liaison Officer, where I logged all the faults onboard Merseyrail's fleet of brand new trains, where I then wrote a full fault report which was then emailed out to some 44 recipients. I thoroughly enjoyed my time working with Merseyrail, their staff and also all the fantastic staff/engineers employed at Stadler Kirkdale depot. On the 8th August 2022, I resigned from my 15+ years position as a Mobile Response officer after gaining a new position of employment with Merseyrail Electrics on the 5th September 2022, as an OBC (Onboard Cleaner) I am now working with an absolutely fantastic team of people and loving my new position. I may have had only 2 previous jobs in my 40+ years of employment, but dealing with the public and at times making long life friends as well has so far been amazing.
