In this pivotal role, I championed a forward-looking approach to learning strategy, prioritizing digital transformation and fostering a health-promoting learning environment. My commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusivity has been unwavering, as I advocated for anti-racism initiatives to ensure a more just and inclusive healthcare landscape. As a Professor Emeritus of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta, with cross-appointments to the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine, I've had the honour of shaping the minds of future healthcare leaders. My tenure as Vice President of the Medical Council of Canada provided invaluable insights into the intersection of education and healthcare governance. Despite my various leadership responsibilities, my commitment to clinical practice remains unwavering. I actively practice as a Neurodevelopmental Pediatrician at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where I am dedicated to delivering exemplary care to my patients. Additionally, I utilize virtual diagnostic methods and prioritize team-based delivery to enhance patient care and accessibility. Renowned nationally and internationally for my teaching excellence, I'm deeply invested in empowering learners and fostering their growth.
