About Lyndel Quick
Lyndel is an experienced arts practitioner, teacher and theatremaker available to consult and guide new arts projects and collaborations located in the Greater Geelong region and beyond. Lyndel trained in dance and theatre at Deakin University, Rusden and Box Hill TAFE. She is a qualified secondary teacher and has designed and implemented arts programs, facilitated workshops and choreography for schools, theatre companies, training organisations and private dance studios in Australia and the UK, including Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, Victorian College of the Arts, Ausdance Victoria, Back to Back Theatre, Geelong Performing Arts Centre and Courthouse Arts. Lyndel founded her project based company Blink Dance Theatre in 2013 and has conceived, produced and directed numerous performance works over a 10-year period, including The Red Tree 2013, Written on the Body 2014, Soft Landing 2015, Heart of Glass 2018, Assembly Room 2019, Memory House 2020, Small Wonders 2022, Ravens 2023. Lyndel's creative work is influenced by improvisational dance methodology, nature connection, storytelling, community and embodied mythology. For 20 years, she has facilitated workshops and events at her studio, The Loft located in Geelong, the creative hub for Blink and where she regularly teaches and practices.
