I have been in this role for two months, and I am responsible for verifying and obtaining prior authorizations for various medical procedures and services, as well as communicating with patients, providers, and insurance companies. I have a Certificate in Medical Billing and Coding from Marion Technical College, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to perform my duties efficiently and accurately. Before joining Avita Health System, I worked as a Medical Billing Specialist at Phoenix Health for six months, and as a Purchasing Assistant at Morrow County Hospital for eight months. These experiences have enhanced my competencies in claims processing, phone etiquette, typing, procurement, customer service, communication, inventory management, and HIPAA compliance. I have also developed a strong work ethic, a keen attention to detail, and a passion for helping others.
