About Lynette Ianson

With over 10 years’ experience working in SEN, I have had the opportunity to develop the art curriculum from KS2 up to KS5. Key responsibilities include monitoring, data and intervention support. I have also dedicated time in establishing a safe working environment for SEN students to enjoy and achieve positive goals within art. My enthusiasm, adaptability and creativity allows me to explore new ways of working to support progression, pedagogy and assessment within my subject area and to ensure the continuity, in developing an appropriate curriculum and to ensure that it is on par in supporting students with EHCPs and also to encourage higher attainment within my subject area. My management of resources continues to support lessons and contribute to the continual growth of the art room. I continue to develop the quality of teaching and learning within my department and ensure that we keep up to date with current pedagogies and methodologies. I am an avid believer in continuing my own professional development which enhances my curriculum planning in supporting students to develop skills. I have a strong knowledge and skills within fine art, 3d design, graphics, photography and textiles where I have continued this development through networking, training and communication with others. My personal enjoyment within art lies in illustration and graphics, which I continue to enjoy during my spare time.
