The action of traveling in or through an unfamiliar area in order to learn about it. I explore clients’ business needs and data, discover insights, scope out new solutions, and work with cross-functional teams to translate innovative ideas into operational systems. I lead with my head and my heart. On the journey together, it is important to maintain sight of peoples' needs - including my team, my client, and their customers. Equally important, is not losing sight of the business goals and outcomes that we are striving for, to ensure a solution will deliver measurable improvements. Sometimes this requires challenging assumptions, in order to evaluate tradeoffs, mitigate risk, unite diverse teams together, and navigate the inherent uncertainty and transformational change that is part of the adventure of exploring new territory.
