About Lynette Ramsey

I have been a Registered Nurse for 14 years with 4 years of experience in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry/Team Lead with special training in Peritoneal Dialysis and another 6 years in High Risk Obstetrics which includes experience in Antepartum, Postpartum, Labor and Delivery, Transition Nursery, Obstetrical Triage, OR Circulator, PACU RN, and specialized training for our Accreta Team. I have achieved our highest recognition as a Level 5 RN in our Clinical Ladder Program. I participate aged in research and evidence-based practice studies ( Skin to skin in the OR, Labor Coping algorithm implementation and evaluation, Utilization of Nitrous Oxide for Coping with Labor). I was Shared Leadership Chair and active participant in achieving positive changes to the unit and Hospital as a Super User for Diabetic Resource in Pregnancy, Newborn Hypoglycemia protocols, CAUTI, Cerner- electronic medical record, and integrating Midwifery care models with the hospital which is highly medically interventional. I have been in my current role for 5 years providing support to end-users for Cerner and other EHR and information technology applications. It is my passion to improve the patient health record and provide support to end users so they can provide safe and efficient patient care. I also have experience as adjunct Faculty with Nursing Students in the Simulation Lab and in the clinical settings (Long Term Care, Psych, and Obstetrics). Collaboration is necessary with lead instructors regarding student progress and integrating topics not discussed in lecture into the clinical rotation to optimize the student's learning experience and ensure their success in school completion and in their nursing career. I have 6 years of behavioral health experience as a Behavioral Health Technician that has allowed for me to gain a multitude of experience and knowledge to deal with different types of patients whether it be acute or chronic mental illness.
