I'm used to having my work speak to the kind of employee I am so this is new for me. I’m up for the challenge so here it goes! My Experience in Accounts Receivable •I have been an accountant for over 15 years with a majority of my experience in the Accounts Receivable area with SeaWorld San Diego. •As a manager I am responsible for the development of five team members and am also responsible for all entries within our area. •I complete complicated account analyses and am ultimately responsible for millions of dollars owed to the company. •I am familiar with Dunn and Bradstreet reports, personal credit reports and financial reports from EDGAR as I approve/deny credit. •I am great at developing relationships with internal and external customers which is important for receiving timely payments. My Experience Outside of Accounts Receivable •I am responsible for balance sheet reconciliations for all types of accounts (assets and many deferred revenue accounts). •Working for a publically traded company I am comfortable with explaining processes and reconciliations to internal and external auditors. •I am responsible for tracking and booking millions of dollars in ticket breakage and reporting the results to the Vice President of Finance. •More recently I assisted my corporate office with IT financial entries while a vacant position was being replaced. I handled capital project entries (accruals and deferred labor) and also handled the amortization of prepaid expenses. •I have experience reviewing legal contracts and was also called to participate as a core team member to revise ticket contracts. Other Fun Facts •I love cross-stitching and making cards. •I enjoy gardening and my backyard is a certified wildlife habitat from the National Wildlife Federation. •I also enjoy baking cupcakes and when I bake cupcakes for my friends and they pay me, I donate 100% of the money to charities that help animals (FACE Foundation, Helen Woodward and Veterinary Specialty Hospital).
