LYNN HOFFMAN, M.A, M.P.H. Science and Research Senior Manager, ABT GLOBAL Fields of Competence: Public health; health policy; health services research; patient safety; risk management; adverse event reporting systems, databases, research and analysis; biomedical-journal writing and publishing; business development; federal regulations; management of complex projects Background: Ms. Hoffman joined Abt Associates in October of 2017, and was with ECRI Institute from October 2006 - October 2017. Ms. Hoffman has been employed in healthcare organizations for more than twenty-five years, and has wide-ranging experience in health services research, including the use of administrative/ claims and other healthcare datasets. Having been a part of an academic medical center department, a women’s clinic, a consulting firm with pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology company clients, and health services research organizations, Ms. Hoffman has a unique understanding of multiple stakeholder needs and perspectives. A particular focus in patient safety has guided Ms. Hoffman’s work in recent years. Prior to working at ECRI Institute, at Galt Associates Ms. Hoffman developed and implemented a large number of projects in this area as well, including contributing to the design and implementation of pharmacovigilance plans. Ms. Hoffman has extensive experience in managing projects in the health care/research environment. She also has developed and published evidence reviews on a variety of topics.
