As a Health Science Educator at Wake County Public School System, I apply my extensive background in nursing and education to prepare future healthcare workers. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing, a Professional Educator's License, and I am a National Board-Certified Teacher. Additionally, I hold an active AHA Basic Life Support Instructor certification which reflects my passion for lifelong learning and professional development. With over 10 years of experience in health science education at both the secondary and post-secondary level, I have successfully trained and certified students in LPN and CNA programs, achieving 100% pass rates in state exams.I have experience as a Nurse Recruiter for a large level one trauma center, telephonic triage, care management, and quality improvement in HMO settings, where I used my skills in direct patient care, patient education, and motivational interviewing. I am an innovative, collaborative, and customer-focused educator and nurse, who strives to make a positive impact in the health sector.
