About Lynn Moorman

I share my passion for learning about the Earth as an avid Geographer, educator, researcher and volunteer. I teach physical geography, geomorphology, remote sensing and spatial analysis. My research interests lie at the intersection of geography, learning sciences and applied geospatial and visualization technology, including virtual and augmented reality. As a former Board member and current Research Grants chair, I work with with the Royal Canadian Geographical Society and the executive of Canadian Geographic Education, to build awareness and capacity for geospatial literacy. I serve as the Geospatial Education lead for an operational sea-ice safety mapping program with Inuit in the Canadian Arctic through SmartICE, Sikumik Qaujimajjuti. My best life is lived as Resource Staff (Adventure Canada) and Travel Ambassador (Canadian Geographic) sharing geography, music, and friendship around the world.
