I am an AAPC certified medical coder. AAPC# 1433070 I have been auditing provider coding for Maxim Health Information Services. I have an extensive medical background. I have worked as a receptionist in a physician’s office, have served as a Volunteer EMT for a county service and attended nursing school but did not finish. I was then approached by a friend who recommended a career in Medical Coding I researched the field and realized this was a perfect fit for me. I then took the AAPC CPC online course, finished it and was subsequently certified. Since that time, I have worked coding cardiology from December 5, 2016 Until September 1, 2018 when I changed employers and started with Navigant Consulting and worked as an auditor and claims denial auditor from September 24, 2018 to October 8, 2019. I really enjoyed working for Navigant but discovered that I did not have the experience required to work as an auditor so I resigned that position. I was hired by Maxim Health Information Services December 20, 2019 and continue to work for them today. I have no problem with work related travel, I am always working on keeping current with the changes that occur constantly in the medical field. I feel that I could be a valuable member of your team. I am self motivated and readily accept challenges.
