Background

About Lynn Roncier

My diverse experience and post-secondary education have allowed me many opportunities to work in a variety of positions in two distinct careers. Within education, I had the privilege to teach very young ESL students all the way to college courses in French at Wayne State University and the University of Detroit Mercy. My most recent work experience has been in highly technical translation for the automotive industry where I keep pace with new developments in safety, technology and also electrification. Communication in a second language is what binds the two career paths. My deep appreciation of the people who are learning or speak two languages (some even more) is what keeps me interested and striving to improve my own skills. I thrive in multicultural and open settings, excited to share my knowledge and eager to view challenges from others' perspectives. Combining the unique talents of varied individuals is what has made my work life somewhat off the beaten path and has made me cherish special relationships created in the office and classroom. I'd love to hear from you if your company shares any of these values.
