About Lynn Sun

From Farm to Pharma: A Journey of Purpose and Resilience My career began with a simple yet powerful dream—to help the farmers in my village build a better life. I studied agriculture and pursued a master’s in high-yield transgenic crops to contribute to solving China’s food security challenges. Life took me on a broader journey. Work, travel, and family expanded my perspective beyond borders. After my husband’s battle with cancer, I was drawn to cancer research and joined the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), determined to give hope to those facing the same fears and uncertainties we once did. Today, I work in the biotech industry, supporting companies across all disease areas in their mission to bring life-changing therapies to patients. Every project is another step toward a healthier world. Personally, I’m like water—adaptive, once shaped by expectations, now living authentically. As a mother of two joyful, curious children, I feel lucky to rediscover the world through their eyes and grow alongside them.
