Background
About Lynn Wright
I am a small town girl who was born and raised in Terrace, BC and I’m now settled in living in Vancouver, BC. My name is ‘Tsinsxw Gapiikxw. I’m Lax Ganada (frog princess) from Wilps Nisto’o of the Gitxsan Nation, who calls her father’s homelands of the Kitselas First Nation, home. With all this change, we have had to adapt, with the bumps in the road, but with support, and communication, we are trudging through. I hope you all are well and being safe. I appreciate your input, in any initiative I'm working on, It is quite the array of work, but together we will succeed! Thanks for your participation in all the work that will be done! With my work history as a First Nations Liaison; Councillor; Decolonization Worker; Family Support Worker; Community Liaison Officer; working Administration for Kitselas First Nation, Gitlaxdax Nisga’a Society, Kermode Friendship Society, and Fountain Tire; and what started me on my path was my time as Customer Service Representative at the Royal Bank - all this has brought me to today, as this, a person who is passionate about making a difference and advocating for what’s right. I want to live up to my Great Grandfather’s legacy - Chief Neas-D-Hok - Walter Wright. He was a man of the utmost respect and was a great leader to our Kitselas Nation, as well as, Terrace and surrounding areas. I want to carry on what he worked on, I want to be torch bearer and make him proud of the path we have all made, for the next generation. I’ve made great relationships throughout my career and I look forward to making new connections. Let’s do this people! Make those bridges, mend those relationships, talk real about what reconciliation looks like. How far are we, what’s next. How can we infuse indigenous perspectives into our planning. Talk soon … ~Always stay humble and Kind~
