I’ve found my dream job with Digital Business It’s helping our clients get the correct visitors to their websites. I decided to adapt to the digital revolution we are in today. And I realised how much I enjoy SEO and content marketing. I used all my more than 23 years of experience working with customers to help solve analog marketing problems and translated them into SEO and content marketing. For much of 2019 and 2020, I retrained to learn content marketing skills, including professional blogging. I also spent time learning search engine optimization, training with experts and taking first-class courses. Nor is my knowledge simply theory. In 2020, I used all the skills I learned to help specialist B2B and B2C brands increase their online visitor numbers. I’ve learnt: HTML and CSS Blogging using content frameworks Keyword research Creating briefs for myself to create high quality posts through thorough research Optimising content using natural language processing Analysing landing pages to see how I can improve the technical and on-page SEO Using social media to boost visitor numbers to blog posts I’ve written for clients Analysing websites and their competitors to find gaps and opportunities. Most of all, I realised that SEO and content marketing are not dark arts. Used correctly and professionally, SEO and content marketing are powerful ways to bring relevant visitors to my customers websites. If I could, I would do the job for free. I love helping my customers and being a valued, virtual member of their businesses. I enjoy solving problems and achieving excellent results for them.
