About Lynnette Garetz

I am currently working at the University of Southern California Bovard College as a Senior Instructional Designer. Prior to that I was working for the University of Phoenix as an Instructional Designer in the College of Information System and Technology revising design documents used in the creation of online courses. For two year prior I worked for Patten University as the Senior Manager of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning. I provided evidence-based, integrated planning and decision-making support for the President of the University and support all areas of the University in an institutional research capacity. Prior to Patten, I spent twenty three rewarding years with Heald College, with the first 17 as an instructor and the last years as a Curriculum Manager and designer. I was promoted to Manager of Programmatic Accreditiation. As Curriculum Manager, I led comprehensive and systematic program review, design, and revision of medical programs, along with the revision and production of courseware used in these programs. Working with SMEs, I designed courses and assessments often involving task analysis. My other primary focus was the achievement and maintenance of programmatic accreditation for the medical assisting, dental assisting and pharmacy technology programs including statistical data reporting to outside agencies. I am an experienced project manager, with the ability to lead multiple projects and meet tight deadlines while maintaining the highest standard of quality. In addition, I have a strong technology background and have managed many institution level change management teams in software conversion and have been in charge of several “train the trainer” initiatives.
