About Lynnette Sarno

As the Chief People Officer, I lead a team of experts that develop and execute the people and social impact strategies of Macquarie. Our People & Culture division partners closely with our leaders to attract the best, reward success, develop and retain talent, as well as support complex regulatory and organizational change. Through our Macquarie Foundation, we drive meaningful social impact by supporting community organizations with funding, volunteering, skill sharing, and social impact investing. I joined Macquarie in 2009 as an Employment Relations lawyer based out of New York. I subsequently assumed the role of Employment Relations Lead for the Americas before moving to the Hong Kong office where I served as the Head of Human Resources, Asia from 2014 to 2016. Until August 2018, I served as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Shared Services, Asia where I was responsible for the oversight of the Business Improvement & Strategy, Business Services, Services Management, Technology, Market Operations, Human Resources, Brand & Marketing, the Macquarie Group Foundation, and Global Security divisions across 13 locations in Asia. Prior to joining Macquarie, I was a partner at Seyfarth Shaw LLP practicing labor and employment law representing multi-national corporations including several global financial services companies. I’m proud to have served on the board of a number of not-for-profit organizations.
