About Lysa Parker

When Dr. John Bowlby wrote “If a community values its children, it must cherish their parents” he fully understood that in order to break inter-generational cycles of abuse and violence, we have to value and support all parents, who have a critical role in the outcome of society. My experiences as a mother and educator have prepared me for a lifelong trajectory of working with families to help them build strong bonds of affection and connection with their children. My broad range of academic and real-life experiences are varied and unique, reflecting my deep commitment to becoming a better professional and advocate in promoting optimal child development and stronger families. I co-founded and help build a nonprofit organization from the ground up, I am a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) through the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR), a Certified Educator of Infant Massage (CEIM), and more recently the lead developer of a parenting curriculum from pregnancy to three years. My professional goals include implementing and/or training in the new parenting curriculum, working with like-minded professionals committed to educating and supporting young parents using evidenced-based practices. My experience with television would be an asset for being a spokesperson to promote a business and/or programs related to children and families.
