About Maarten Kadijk

Always seeking to make a positive impact. I believe that with meaningful collaboration and the right determination, the world can be changed for the better. As an aerospace engineering student, I have learned a lot about all the great scientific and technological marvels that brought the aerospace industry to where it is today. I hope to use this knowledge to make a positive contribution on the way to a more sustainable way of flying. Working with student team AeroDelft on a hydrogen-powered aircraft was a significant step towards this goal. Although I always enjoyed working together with others, working in such a diverse team on complex and multidisciplinary challenges, greatly improved my skills in doing so. Recently, I took the next step in making a positive impact by joining the student association Students4Sustainability. This association aims to motivate technical students from Delft to apply innovative technologies to facilitate the transition to a more sustainable world. Together with my committee members, I will organise a symposium about a topic related to sustainable development. What I can bring to an organisation, is that I am a real team player that can oversee a project and dares to take responsibility. I have good communication skills that I can effectively use to form the bridge between different technical departments of a project, but also between technical and non-technical counterparts, like customers or operational members of a project.
