About Maarten Meiners

Dutch Olympic ski racer driven by progress reaching the impossible. In my ski racing career I participated in 7 World Ski Championships in Garmisch (2011) and Schladming (2013) where I finished 20th at the Super-Combined, Vail / Beaver Creek (2015), St. Moritz (2017), Are (2019) where I finished 28th and 31st, Cortina (2021) and Courchevel (2023). I competed at several Alpine Ski World Junior Championships and finished 12th in Roccaraso (ITA) in 2012 on the Giant-Slalom (best Dutch result ever) and 10th in Quebec (CAN) in 2013. Many podium and wins at different international FIS races with top 3 results in European Cup. In 2020 I was able to get my first World Cup points as first ever Dutch racer in the Giant Slalom. In 2022 I qualified in the last opportunity during the famous World Cup in Adelboden (SUI) to go to the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic games. At the games I finished 18th which is my personal highest rank on the world stage in very difficult snow conditions. Besides my career as proffesional skier, I finished my bachelor degree Economics & Business at the University of Amsterdam. I reached by childhood goal by being the first Dutch ski racer in 70 years at the 2022 Olympics, that means participating at the highest level of ski racing in the world. I have experience as brand ambassador, ski clinics and presentations for brands such as Rossignol, ERU Prestige, Audi, Active Professionals, Hublot, Q1905, Snowworld, Austrian Tourism Agency, Innsbruck, Kitzski, Tirol, J.Lindeberg, Hestra, POC, Komperdell, Douchebags, Rawbite, Stox, Coca Cola, Ziener, Toyota, Nederlandse Loterij, TeamNL and many more to come!
