About Maayan Levy
I’m a recent Master’s graduate from the department of Integrative Physiology at the University of Colorado Boulder. My research there focused in large part on studying endothelial dysfunction via microRNA and protein gene expression profiling in treated cultured endothelial cells and induced pluripotent cardiomyocytes, microvesicles, and human plasma samples derived from patients with cardiovascular disease risk conditions such as type 2 diabetes, HIV-1 infection, and hypertension. I’m currently an associate researcher at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where I study mechanisms of erythropoiesis in mouse models and human primary cells. I hope to begin PhD studies starting in the Fall 2023.
