About Mac Bracewell

I assist high net worth families create sophisticated estate plans, designed to maximize tax efficiencies and take advantage of long term asset protection strategies. I also work with closely held business owners to implement fair and tax-advantaged business succession plans. I serve as counsel for clients with philanthropic desires and for not-for-profit business entities. I am actively involved with my client’s estates, working with family members and professional fiduciaries to preserve the benefits of prior planning efforts, including Federal estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax reporting and representation before the Internal Revenue Service for related audit and tax controversy matters. I am a member of The Florida Bar, The Alabama Bar, and the Jacksonville Bar Association. I also hold memberships with the Tax Law and Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Sections of The Florida Bar and the Estate Planning Council of Northeast Florida. I am eligible to practice before the United States Tax Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. I earned an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida and a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University. I graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in finance.
