About MacHfud Sidik

My expertise based on 35 years experience as government official and professional experience on fiscal issues, at the Ministry of Finance (MOF) in Indonesia mainly in the field of finance, taxation and intergovernmental financial relations and State Asset Management & Auctions as well as appointed as the Board of Commissioner of State Own Enterprises and several donors such as World Bank Jakarta ADB, AIPD GTZ, Kompak, range from organizational restructuring both for business and government entities, corporate finance and restructuring, fiscal expert, taxation expert, fiscal decentralization expert, tax consultant, local taxes and charges policy and administration, capacity development for sub national government finance and resource mobilization of Sub-national Governments. I would like to explore ways of further enhancement my experience on fiscal policies, taxation, international taxation, transfer pricing issues, intergovernmental fiscal relations as well as corporate finance issues. My 35-year tenure as an official at MOF of Indonesia allowed me to acquire a solid command of fiscal issues and best public financial management practices in Indonesia context. I broadened this expertise to other country contexts during my tenure at the present time and in the coming years. I have mostly involved in the process of preparing the Bills and eventually became the Laws concerning Taxation, Financial Balance between Central and Regional Governments, Local Taxes and Levies as well as respective Government Regulations. More recently, I have reoriented my work towards consulting services in those areas and corporate finance as well.
