Specialties/expertise: University hospital psychiatry (MPU/consultation-liaison psychiatry), assertive community treatment (FACT, VIP, EDI), psychotherapy, farmacotherapy, lighttherapy, neuromodulation, antipsychotic dose-reduction/optimalisation via M-Health monitoring. Transdiagnostic psychiatry, personalized mental health care, early detection and intervention, transdiagnostic expressions of mental variations (e.g. intrusions, anxiety,(subclinical) psychosis). My focus of research is on shared underlying mechanisms of psychiatric disorders and/or somatic comorbidities. By understanding the transdiagnostic (bio-psycho-contextual) mechanisms of mental and somatic variations, we aim to improve mental health care on a personal and systemic level. We do this by developing novel personalized diagnostic and treatment strategies with and for individuals with psychological distress from e.g. psychosis, affective dysregulation, post-traumatic stress, disordered eating, neurodiversity, somatic illnesses or side-effects of medication. Special interests: susceptibility/resiliency factors, E-health, Mobile Health (Experience Sampling Method), N=1 farmacotherapy/dose-optimalisation research, sex/gender differences, psychoneuroendocrinology (hormones), brain/structure function, psycho-somatic integration, stress, trauma, psychosis.
