About MacKenna Heath

I work as a Product Development Senior Food Scientist, improving and creating products for our customers, reviewing and approving nutritional data, writing product specifications, and enforcing USDA labeling regulations on new and modified food products. In the past, I have been an active member of IFT. I have held both the Secretary and President position for the Oklahoma Section. I obtained a Bachelor of Science - BS focused in Nutrition Science in Business and Industry from Texas Woman's University and minors in kinesiology and chemistry with a 4.0 GPA. I am currently enrolled and working on obtaining my Masters in Food Science with an emphasis in Baking Science at Kansas State University. Competencies: Microsoft Office, Integration and application of food science principles, Statistical skills, Critical thinking/problem-solving skills, Structure and properties of food components, including water, carbohydrates, protein, lipids, other nutrients and food additives.
