About MacKenzie Calder

I began my education in Engineering out of a desire to always be near the cutting-edge of innovation. Engineers have the unique role in society of trying to find intuitive solutions to the world's biggest technical problems. Further, it is my belief that climate change will be the defining technical problem of my generation. That is why I chose to major in SFU's brand new Sustainable Energy Engineering program. Combining elements of Electrical, Mechanical, and Chemical Engineering, I have developed an in-depth understanding of the latest Sustainable Energy technology throughout my undergrad. Beyond graduation, I have aspirations to become a Project Manager in the sustainable energy industry and look to pursue both my P. Eng and MBA in the future. My hope in this goal is to help see meaningful sustainable energy projects come to fruition and in turn, build a better world for future generations.
