About MacKenzie Cheater

My name is MacKenzie Cheater, and I am currently looking for a new career opportunity. I'm 31 years old, and until last year have lived my entire life in Canada. I graduated from the University of Winnipeg in 2012, and then the Dalhousie Schulich School of Law in 2015. From my graduation onwards I worked exclusively for Campbell Gunn Inness Seib - one of the premier criminal defence firms in the province of Manitoba. I was involved in many significant criminal cases and am proud of the things I accomplished during my time there. I moved to Hamburg, Germany in February 2021 to give my wife the opportunity to pursue her career ambitions. I have been a stay-at-home father for the last 18 months while my wife has settled into her new position. With our daughter now established in daycare, I am in a position to resume work. I am ideally looking for remote part-time work in Canada in any legal field. Though my background is firmly rooted in criminal law, I believe my legal skill set is highly transferrable to any form of legal research and writing.
