About MacKenzie Clark

The focus of my experience in both schooling and my internship has been on Electric Vehicles. On the LTU Formula Electric team I was responsible for helping design the Safety Shutdown and Pre-charge/Discharge circuits and PCB's, reworking the Temperature Sensing PCB, and ordering and setting up the Insulation Monitoring and Battery Management systems. This gave me extensive hands on experience on working with Altium and SPICE simulations, as well as soldering, crimping, and assembling High-Voltage battery packs (~300V). At Visteon I was lucky to continue working in the EV industry, assisting in the design and analysis of electrical circuits. The primary area I was focused on was the Insulation Monitoring section of their BMS, performing Monte Carlo analysis and sitting in on design meetings. I also assisted in designing analysis tools for the quick approximation of insulation resistance in high voltage systems. This was a fast paced environment in which multiple pivots to different projects was needed. I am a recent graduate of LTU with Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and a certificate in Embedded Systems. I am currently looking for positions in Electrical Engineering within the automotive sector.
