About MacKenzie Jones

I am a graduate of Algonquin College in the Construction Engineering Technician Program. I wish to pursue a career in the construction field. I enjoy building connections and creating lasting bonds with people. I have been a part of multiple co-op programs through high school and at Algonquin. I graduated high school with a high skills major in construction and have been on the honor roll from 2017-to 2020. These past few years have given me an opportunity to create a foundation of construction-related knowledge, and I hope to continue learning and growing. As for my work-related experience, I have had co-op placements with Home Maintenance Plus, a general contractor, and the maintenance department at a retirement home. I have also had a Co-op placement with PCL and Ellisdon as a Jr, estimator. I previously worked at a retirement home and was there for over two years. This has given me the opportunity to learn firsthand health and safety practices in the workplace. As of right now I am working at Metro as a front end clerk. Here I have continued to develop interpersonal skills, as well as customer service skills. In addition, I have strengthened my organizational abilities and assisted in maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
