Background

About MacKenzie Kraemer

I have been an ESPN employee since graduating college, with my primary role being a researcher and content producer for the last decade. Betting content has been my primary focus since moving to Las Vegas in 2020 where I’ve been the lead researcher for ESPN’s first sports betting show, Daily Wager. I pitch segments, work with talent to support their picks with research, and build dozens of graphics per show. My content has appeared on almost every ESPN platform, ranging from video treatments to full screen graphics, to full articles on ESPN.com. I have written a weekly NFL trends column on ESPN.com for years, as well as betting previews for various other sports (college football, NBA, NHL and MLB). Prior to working on Daily Wager, I was the primary researcher for The Fantasy Show with Matthew Berry where I created fantasy football storylines and came up with statistics to support Matthew’s takes. I have worked on most ESPN shows in my career, with my primary shows being Daily Wager, SportsCenter, The Fantasy Show, NFL Live and College Football Live. I travelled with the basketball show College GameDay for years, and I have also worked live events for UFC, boxing (Mayweather-McGregor) and others. I have plenty of writing and on-air experience as well. In addition to writing for ESPN.com, I have appeared on the Daily Wager podcast many times, including doing a weekly show with Doug Kezirian recapping the NFL in the 2021 season. Over the last three years, I have also done dozens of on-air radio spots on Vegas Stats and Information Network. My ESPN career began as a stats analyst, before I helped launch the BottomLine for the Longhorn Network, where I had to curate news and tailor it for a specific audience (Texas sports fans). Prior to my ESPN career, I was a senior writer at Bleacher Report and ran my own New York Jets blog. I also had a four-year radio show in college, a three-year sports TV show, and an internship as a digital producer/talent for a defunct website called Palestra.net. I am strong at Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and ENPS, and I have basic video editing skills in Final Cut. I have been very adaptable in my career learning new things and am very willing to learn more to provide value to any job.
