About MacKenzie McCamish

I am a new graduate of the University of Louisville with a BFA in Graphic Design, and a BA in Latin American and Latino Studies, as well as a minor in Spanish. I believe that what makes the world exciting is its infinite variety and complexity! Because of this, I’ve explored many avenues of my craft, including multicultural marketing, product development, copy-writing, illustration, and animation. I love to solve problems and am not afraid to get my hands dirty in the process. Through my studies, I have really fostered a passion for combining both design thinking and community outreach, especially for the Latinx community. I have been able to design and produce many bilingual advertisements and newsletters to help better reach an often overlooked audience. I have also had a hand in preserving an indigenous language of Mexico through my work illustrating and designing a set of children's books in the language. These opportunities have shown me what is possible when we keep equity and inclusion at the forefront of our design processes.Over the past four years, I have gained design experience through both the BFA Graphic Design program and various internships, earning proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
