About MacKenzie Monaghan

I am Mackenzie Monaghan, a graduate of the University of Houston-Clear Lake. I obtained a bachelor's of science in General Business with a minor in marketing. This program has allowed me to gain a better understanding of how business and marketing work and how to apply them to the real world. One way I did this was by creating a website to try and persuade others to pay attention to the world's ongoing water pollution problem. I had to learn the audience I was targeting and determine the best way possible to gather their attention. Another way I demonstrated this was by collaborating with two classmates and writing a 12-page document on the economic impact of Covid-19 on the airline industry, more specifically Southwest Airlines. I learned, and then explained, how the airline adapted to the challenges the industry faced and yet still managed to be profitable and ended up being an airline many still use today. EXPERIENCE Cosmic Ice Cream Co, Pearland, TX September 2024-Present Shift Lead-Ice Cream Scooper • Provided samples, served ice cream, and prepared other food items for 100-150 customers daily • Helped train coworkers, answered customers' questions, and thought of quick solutions to problems • Exceeding customer needs by providing timely, effective, and friendly service to 100-150 customers daily Clear Creek ISD—Clear Brook High School, Friendswood, TX January 2025-Present Long-Term Substitute • Maintain order in the classroom while fostering a fun and welcoming environment to allow 100 students to feel safe to learn • Create solutions to problems under stress that address the issue and will allow learning and other classroom functions to continue • Give constructive feedback in a manner that emphasizes the importance but does not make them feel less than SKILLS Computer: Microsoft Word and PowerPoint Social Media: Instagram and Tik Tok
