About MacKenzie Obrien

In my current position as a technical consultant at Esri, I work with clients across the globe to solve problems using the power of GIS. In my nearly five years of working as a consultant as Esri, I have had the opportunity to develop not only my technical abilities, but also my project management and advisory skills. Currently, I spend most of my day configuring applications and managing data in ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Pro for customers in the environment and geodesign sectors. I’ve created applications for monitoring wildlife trafficking, conducting statewide dam inspections, and tracking sustainable forests across the globe. In addition to using my technical skills to develop GIS applications, I have also recently found a love for using my technical skills and passion for GIS to help customers develop their geospatial capacity as a technical advisor.
